You may get quite messy!
Ceramics is a messy process, especially on the wheel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Forming Beauty from dust
2. What does a typical class period look like? I will take about 15 min at the beginning of every class to give instruction about the type of application we will be trying and some examples to get ideas from. The next 30 min is practice and the last 15 min will be clean up and protection of projects that are in process.
3. Can my child work on projects outside of class? Yes! There will be many opportunities to brainstorm ideas outside of class, collect other "tools" to make impressions in clay, sketch out ideas and possibly bring a piece home to continue work on.
4. Will the pieces you make be microwave and dishwasher safe? Yes. Finished pieces will be properly fired and glazed with non-toxic glazes, safe for eating from and using in food preparation.
